The Duke of Gordon Hotel is a family owned hotel accommodating up to 120 guests in 65 bedrooms. We offer functions, weddings and conferences alongside our main restaurant for residents and bar food operation. The hotel is located in the Cairngorm National Park, an area of outstanding natural beauty, and is a very popular destination choice for golf, walking and cycling. We welcome guests from around the UK, Europe and the Americas. As well as individual guests the hotel welcomes coach groups 12 months of the year.
We are looking for waiting staff to join our friendly team at the hotel.
A successful candidate will be answerable to the management team and will contribute towards departmental targets providing high standards of food to guests and ensuring an excellent customer experience. You must also be able to work well both within a team and on your own. Specifically your responsibilities will include;
· Welcoming & greeting guests as they enter the restaurant
· Ensuring each guest is served within a timely manner
· Maintaining the high standards of cleanliness
· Providing and promoting a welcoming, friendly, personal and professional service
· Ensuring all guest expectations are reached and exceeded
· Promoting the restaurant / bar and the hotel standards
· Gaining guest feedback for the restaurant and the hotel and feed back to the management team
· Maintaining and striving to improve standards of service.
· Maintaining a fast and effective service
· Monitoring and keeping a close relationship with the kitchen to ensure guests receive their food in timely manner.
