What you’ll be doing in this role: Partner cross-functionally with teams in the UK and across the US to support risk-aware, commercially balanced decision-making. Advise on a wide range of matters including but not limited to commercial, corporate, IP and data protection matters. Work closely with Compliance function to promote compliance with relevant sector regulations and industry codes. Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of contracts including manufacturing agreements, supply agreements, IP licences, distribution agreements, quality agreements, pharmacovigilance agreements, consultancy agreements and confidentiality agreements. Contribute to the development and implementation of company policies, procedures and training to strengthen Cycle’s governance framework. Support corporate transactions, such as acquisitions and integrations, ensuring alignment with Cycle’s strategic objectives and global operations. Conduct legal research, advising on the impact of new or evolving legislation and technology, for example DUAA and AI. Support with corporate matters including company secretary functions. The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience: Qualified solicitor (UK) or equivalent, 5 years PQE (private practice or in-house), OR 2 years PQE with significant pre-qualification legal experience (e.g. as a paralegal, contract analyst or similar). A positive, team-oriented approach to solving problems in a fast-paced environment. Ability to adapt and respond to challenging requests and perform diverse tasks to a consistently high standard. Substantial experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts. Ability to provide practical legal advice that supports business and commercial goals. Experience or interest advising in commercial, corporate, data protection and IP. Familiarity with US law and/or US healthcare system advantageous but not required. Exceptional analytical and communication skills, with strong professional judgment and integrity. Experience with Compliance, Quality and Regulatory functions in pharmaceutical / Life Sciences sectors preferred.
