We're seeking a proactive Quality Inspector to join an innovative and expanding aerospace engineering company. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, supporting the delivery of high-precision components to leading aerospace clients.

About the Role:

In this position, you'll carry out thorough inspections of components to ensure they meet engineering specifications and customer standards. Working alongside production and quality teams, you'll contribute to maintaining and improving quality processes across the business.

Main Duties:

Conduct inspections of manufactured parts, verifying accuracy against technical drawings and quality control documents.

Confidently operate a variety of inspection tools including micrometers, calipers, CMM (Aberlink software), OGP systems, Keyence optical measurement devices, and hardness testers.

Perform hands-on inspection methods and raise non-conformance reports when necessary.

Collaborate with Quality Engineers and production teams to resolve quality issues and support investigation processes.

Assist with quality improvement initiatives and participate in internal quality meetings when required.

Accurately record inspection results using ERP platforms and data tracking software such as Jobshop and Visual FAI.

Work closely with Engineering and Operations teams to remove quality-related obstacles in production.

Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 / AS9100 standards and meet key aerospace customer expectations

Apply knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and implement inspection best practices.

Contribute as a team member to ensure inspection resources are utilised effectively.

Carry out any other relevant duties as directed by management.

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience working in a manufacturing or engineering setting is essential.

Completed an apprenticeship or equivalent Level 3 qualification in inspection or a related field.

Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Strong problem-solving abilities and familiarity with inspection techniques and quality systems.

Advantageous: experience with Computerised Measurement Solutions (CMS).

Skilled in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, including GD&T.

Capable of setting up and calibrating inspection equipment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Flexible, adaptable, and able to work under pressure to meet production targets.

Hands-on experience using measurement instruments and inspection methods.

Willingness to work additional hours, including weekends, to support business needs when required
