Field Services Supervisor – Serco
Location: Liverpool Field Service Area – North Wales/Cheshire/Merseyside/Lancashire (Home based with regional travel)
Salary & Benefits: £33,777.43 + company car (Including personal use)
Shifts: 40 hours per week, shift rota basis including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays
Training: Induction programme including virtual and face-to-face training; may require overnight stays at a venue depending on location
Vetting: UK BPSS level vetting required; Serco standard vetting required; clearance must be awarded before employment can commence
Serco has been contracted by the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) to deliver Electronic Monitoring Services across England and Wales. This service helps enforce curfews, supports rehabilitation, and enhances public safety while addressing prison overcrowding.
Field Service Supervisor – The Role
* Ensure that all standard operational procedures are adhered to, and that contract compliance is maintained.
* Provide effective leadership to promote and maintain good working relationships.
* People Management: sickness absence management, performance review – 1:1, appraisals, team meetings and coaching.
* Resourcing: review and maintain capacity plans, work rots and annual leave.
* Disciplinary and grievance process management.
* Communicate effectively to keep the team current with business issues and process changes.
* Support the FSM role and provide effective cover as required.
* Manage the equipment audit process to minimise losses and ensure data accuracy.
* Identify areas for improvement and implement change.
* Manage quality and compliance through data analysis and required quality framework tasks.
* Minimise SLA failures through data analysis and collaboration with colleagues to identify improvement opportunities.
Qualifications – What You Bring
* Recognised management qualification or similar management experience.
* Performance management experience.
* Self‑motivated and able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Working knowledge of the business objectives and values.
* Results focused and able to manage a team to achieve stretching targets.
* Full UK driving licence and at least a year of driving experience.
