We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Support Worker to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Lindholme, a Category C male adult prison based in Doncaster, with an operational capacity of around 900.
This is a fantastic opportunity to start or continue your career in Pharmacy and Healthcare. No previous experience is necessary, and we will support you with training and development opportunities.
Hours
This is a full-time role, averaging 37.5 hours per week. The Pharmacy team works a 2-week rolling rota; shifts vary weekly and you will work alternate weekends. Hours fall between 07:30 and 17:30.
Salary
£23,809.50 per annum.

Main duties of the job
As our Pharmacy Support Worker, your responsibilities will include the following:
* Support the onsite Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Manager, as well as the wider healthcare team
* Second-check medication before dispensing to patients on medication rounds
* Contribute to services such as medicine reconciliation, stock management, and transportation of medicines
* Provide support to ensure a safe and secure medicines management service, following policies, procedures and standard operating procedures
* Work in the medication hatches on the wings
* Be a key member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals

New Pharmacy Support Worker will have:
* No experience is necessary – keen interest in Pharmacy and pursuing a career in Pharmacy and Healthcare
* An NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Dispensing would be a bonus but isn’t essential
* Ideally some medicines handling experience, though this isn’t essential
* A hard-working, diligent person with high attention to detail
