As a Geophysicist, you will work within a team comprising a Geoscience Team Leader and other members such as the Principal Geophysicist, Senior Geophysicist, Project Geophysicist, and Trainee Geophysicist during offshore data acquisition and office reporting phases of a project.
Your responsibilities include:
1. Performing geophysical work related to acquiring, analyzing, and interpreting high-quality geophysical data.
2. Providing geophysical advice in specialized technical disciplines.
3. Developing solutions for clients by contextualizing acquired geophysical data.
4. Following prescribed guidelines and procedures, with potential deviations. Providing on-the-job training to junior colleagues. Receiving moderate guidance and direction. Building knowledge of the organization, processes, and customers.
Who we’re looking for:
We seek an individual holding a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Geophysics, Geology, or a related discipline.
Must have an understanding of geophysical equipment and methods used in shallow marine environments, along with knowledge of data interpretation, mapping, visualization, and plotting software.
Practical field experience in marine geophysical surveys, including data acquisition, quality control, and interpretation of side scan sonar, sub-bottom profiler, and magnetometer data, is required.
Proficiency in Sonarwiz, Kingdom Suite, Oasis Montaj, and ArcGIS is desirable.
