Job Description
New Directions Education are recruiting Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA’s), to work in primary schools Cardiff for daily/long term cover support.
This role is a fantastic opportunity for people who are dedicated in supporting learners to thrive within the classroom and outdoor learning facilities.
Candidates will be required to:
1. Support the planning, delivery, and assessment of learning activities for pupils with SEN, adapting materials and strategies as needed.
2. Working alongside class teachers to deliver differentiated learning and ensure all pupils can access the curriculum.
3. Deliver small group interventions under the direction of SENCOs and phase leaders.
4. Support the development of EHCP outcomes and contribute to reviews and meetings.
5. Supervise whole classes occasionally during the short-term absence of the class teacher.
6. Provide guidance and support to other teaching assistants across the setting.
7. Maintain accurate records and contribute to reporting and assessment processes
