Teaching Assistant

Randstad Education is seeking a caring and patient Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Biggleswade. This two federation school is a small village school with close community links. This primary school accommodates 51 children from 5 to 9 years of age. This is a good rated school and OFSTED stated the school pupils behave well. They know that staff have their best interests at heart and will work hard to support them. The staff work closely with the federated school to develop the curriculum. They are ambitious for the pupils who attend.
Your role and responsibilities:
1. Support students within all ability classrooms.
2. Provide 1:1 and group support where required.
3. Work alongside experienced classroom teacher in the delivery of the curriculum.
4. Build positive relationships with all school staff, parents and the wider community.
5. Provide TA supply cover to various age groups within the school
Requirements:
6. A minimum of 6 months experience working with children in the UK
7. An enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) or willing to apply for one
8. Eligibility to work in the UK is essential
9. Level 2 or GCSE qualification in English and Mathematics
10. Excellent spoken and written English
