They are looking for a Finance Controls and Reconciliations SME to join the team on contract to end April with the potential to extend. You will be working Monday to Friday, hybrid working being office based 2 days a week.
Responsibilities
* Drive the implementation of the CredAble system to the tight timelines
* Undertake manual transfer of data from CredAble to Oracle in the short term
* Drive the system feeds from CredAble into Oracle
* Drive the system feeds for both Demica and CredAble customers that are syndicated – ensure robust controls are in place
* Ensure cash flows are tightly controlled while system feeds are being introduced.
* Design the go forward operating model for bank rec's in relation to Demica and CredAble
* Reconcile Oracle and Prism for both Demica & CredAble each month
* Attend all governance meetings to ensure project is driven in the right direction
* Own the ARC process for balance sheet reconciliations
* Escalate issues as applicable
Key Skills Required
* Systems & Technical Expertise
* Proficiency in Excel and other data manipulation tools.
* Familiarity with ARC (Account Reconciliation Compliance) processes.
* Financial Control & Reconciliation
* Deep understanding of balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and cash flow management.
* Ability to design and implement robust financial controls during system transitions.
* Experience reconciling multiple systems and ensuring data integrity across platforms.
* Project & Change Management
* Proven ability to drive system implementations to tight deadlines.
* Experience in manual data migration and transitioning to automated feeds.
* Ability to design operating models and improve financial processes.
* Governance & Risk Management
* Strong grasp of financial governance frameworks.
* Experience attending and contributing to governance meetings.
* Ability to escalate issues appropriately and manage risk proactively.
* Communication & Leadership
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with IT, finance, and operations.
* Experience coaching or managing teams in a finance control environment.
Experience & Qualifications
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
* Professional Qualifications: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA required.
* Experience:
* Previous experience in finance role, ideally within banking or financial services.
* Hands-on experience in financial control, system implementation, and data reconciliation.
* Exposure to insurance finance or syndicated customer structures is a plus.
