We are looking for a Wing Pharmacy Technician to join our team at HMP Norwich, currently registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. We provide full induction to facilitate your transition into the prison pharmacy system, whether you come from community or hospital backgrounds.
As a Wing Pharmacy Technician, you will work in a wing/ward environment, responsible for medication administration from secure medication hatches and managing related activities such as audits and stock checks under the supervision of the Pharmacist Manager.

Hours of work are from 7am to 6pm with an hour break.
Main duties of the job
Once trained, you will be expected to work autonomously within our standard operating procedures and:
* Provide medicines administration to patients from secure medication hatches
* Collaborate with clinical practitioners on medication management services, including reconciliation
* Assist in cost-effective prescribing and medicines optimisation strategies
* Promote safe pharmacy practices within the prison, providing advice and training to patients and staff
