As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing site. You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and improvement of our machinery and equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical skills and quick problem-solving abilities.
Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager, your responsibilities will include:
1. Conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance on production equipment, identifying and resolving potential issues before they cause disruptions.
2. Responding promptly to machinery breakdowns, diagnosing problems, and performing repairs or coordinating with external specialists as needed.
3. Carrying out machine adjustments and changeovers to support production line efficiency and minimize downtime.
4. Monitoring and calibrating equipment to meet accuracy, quality, and safety standards.
5. Collaborating with production teams to identify process improvement opportunities and providing technical expertise to enhance productivity.
6. Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including schedules, repairs, and spare parts inventory.
7. Adhering to health and safety guidelines and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
8. Staying updated with industry advancements and relevant new technologies.

About you
We are looking for someone who can work at pace and has:
1. Qualifications to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent), ONC mechanical/electrical engineering, BTEC level 3 in mechanical & electrical/electronic engineering.
2. Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems used in the FMCG industry.
3. Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery, including conveyors, motors, pumps, and packaging equipment.
4. A proactive approach to maintenance and a commitment to equipment reliability.
5. Understanding of HACCP principles; IEE qualification up to 17th edition wiring regulations is advantageous.
6. Excellent communication skills.
7. Assertiveness and the ability to make decisions quickly.
8. A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
