Location: Norwich (Hybrid – part home, part office)
Contract Type: Full-time
We’re looking for a proactive Marketing Executive to join our small Norwich-based team, supporting the delivery of high-performing marketing campaigns. With the support of our subject specialists, you’ll touch on multiple channels, including paid ads, organic social media, content creation, and email marketing, to drive results for our clients.
We are keen to speak to anyone with experience in one or more of these areas: video editing, graphic design, social media management, Google Ads, paid social, or email marketing.
We do not expect the person who takes on this role to have all of these skills, or to be a one person marketing team – just some professional experience in one or more, and an enthusiasm to expand their skills into other areas. For any skills that are new to you, you will receive full training and be supported in any work you deliver by our subject matter experts.
This role is ideal for a marketing generalist with strong organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to deliver projects independently.
Your role will include a mix of these things:
* Helping to plan, launch and optimise multi-channel marketing campaigns (across channels such as paid social, Google Ads, email, organic social and more).
* Creating engaging content for social media and digital campaigns (with some on-site client visits required)
* Writing snappy, compelling copy for ads, social posts, and email marketing
* Getting hands-on with performance marketing campaigns (you’ll have a subject specialist to help, so don’t worry if you’re still learning the ropes)
* Conducting research which might include competitor analysis, keyword research, and audience insights
* Keeping an eye on campaign performance, making sense of the numbers, and sharing insights that help us do better next time
* Produce monthly reports and assisting in the creation of client proposals
* Staying up to date with what’s new in the world of marketing
* Working closely with our team and clients to make sure everything we do supports their bigger goals
Ultimately, the specific responsibilities will be shaped around the individual and their current level of knowledge in different areas, as well as anything they are particularly interested in.
What we’re looking for:
* Good project coordination and organisational skills – you’ll be working on multiple campaigns, clients and deadlines, and staying on top of things is key.
* A creative thinker who is excited by the thought of working on copy, visuals or short-form video.
* An analytical mindset, comfortable reviewing performance data and reporting on what’s working (and what’s not) and experience doing so in some capacity before.
* Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, or email marketing platforms – you don’t need to be an expert in all of them, but some hands-on experience is important.
* Excellent written English and strong attention to detail
* A full UK driving licence, as some client site visits will be required.
* We do require some proven professional experience for this role. You may have worked as a Marketing Assistant, Social Media Assistant, Paid Media Assistant or in other related roles. If it’s in an agency setting, even better!
The trickiest bits of the job are likely to be:
* Deadlines matter – we need someone who can deliver top-quality work without last-minute drama.
* Bring ideas to life – we’re looking for a creative mind that doesn’t just come up with ideas, but makes them actually happen.
What you’ll get:
* Your birthday off
* An annual profit share bonus
* Training and development opportunities, including attending industry conferences and events
* 4pm finish on a Friday
What’s it like to work at Ginger Pickle?
We’re a small (currently five people) and relatively new agency, based near Norwich Train Station. We’re friendly, collaborative and always learning, so we think someone who loves to learn new things would be a good fit.
While we don’t take ourselves seriously, we do take our work seriously, and we really love working with people who care about what they do and doing it well.
This role sits within our delivery team, which provides marketing services to Ginger Pickle clients, and reports to the Head of Marketing. The team is supportive, fun, and absolutely not a family, sorry. There is room to grow in this role; you will learn from experienced marketers and work with your manager and the agency founder to shape your career in marketing.
We work hybrid, either 2 days at home and 3 in the office, or 1 day at home and 4 in the office. If you’re more of a 5 days in office person, that’s fine too.
The recruitment process:
A first interview to discuss your experience and skills, and give you time to ask us questions too.
A second interview with a practical task.
If it’s preferable, we can offer interview slots outside of ‘normal’ working hours. Feedback will be provided to any candidate who requests it.
If you’re ready to get started as our next Marketing Executive, send us your CV and a cover note to hello@gingerpicklemarketing.com.
