Production / Development Technician (Hands-On | Advanced Manufacturing | Electromechanical) – Bristol (Onsite)
We’re looking for a Production / Development Technician to build, test, and help scale innovative hardware products used in cutting-edge applications. Join a fast-paced engineering environment where you’ll play a key role in manufacturing, testing, and improving complex systems. This is a highly hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys working across assembly, process development, and continuous improvement.
You’ll Be
* Building and testing complex machines and sub-assemblies
* Supporting manufacturing processes and introducing new products into production
* Creating documentation, test procedures, and manufacturing instructions
* Driving improvements in quality, efficiency, and factory processes
* Collaborating with engineering teams to optimise designs for manufacture
* Supporting compliance, inspection, and calibration activities
* We’re looking for someone practical, detail-focused, and driven to build and improve real-world systems.
What You’ll Need
* Strong mechanical and electrical assembly skills
* Experience reading technical drawings (GD&T)
* Hands-on experience with tools, machining (milling/turning), or similar
* Knowledge of wiring, soldering, and troubleshooting
* Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
* Good IT skills (e.g. Word, Excel) and clear documentation ability
Nice to Have
* CNC or multi-axis machining experience
* CAD exposure (e.g. fixtures or tooling design)
* Experience with robotics, metrology, or calibration
* Familiarity with manufacturing systems (e.g. MRP)
