Paediatric Community Staff Nurse - Scunthorpe
Job Summary: We are looking to recruit to our current Paediatric community Staff Nurse team and would like to hear from enthusiastic and committed Paediatric nurses to join generic community nursing team at Scunthorpe General Hospital. Applicants should hold 1st level registration and, like the rest of our nursing team, demonstrate motivation towards delivering the highest standard of nursing care and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Main duties of the job: Registered paediatric nurse working as part of a community team, responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care of children with medical and surgical needs and ongoing care in the community. Promote a safe working environment for the children in our care.
* Is a registered nurse the postholder is personally accountable for their practice and must adhere to the NMC standards expected of them
* Be an effective professional role model for staff
* Maintain own professional development through ongoing education and development, ensuring that PREP requirements are met together with all mandatory training

Qualifications & Requirements
Essential
* Degree or Diploma in Nursing Child Branch or Registered Sick Children's Nurse
Desirable
* Qualified mentor (ENB 998 or mentorship award or equivalent) or working towards
* Evidence of post-registration development in the relevant specialty
* Minimum six months post-registration experience in relevant specialty
* Training in handling and administration of blood
UK Registration: Applicants must have current UK professional registration.
