Established in 1943, our network of Learning Locations provide day and residential courses for all ages, from young children to retired adults, from schools and communities throughout the UK, reaching many others through our publications and community-based programmes.
What you’ll be doing
As one of our Casual Catering Assistants, you’ll help prepare and serve delicious meals and ensure our visitors enjoy a clean, friendly dining experience. Duties include:
4. Assisting in preparing and serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner for up to 154 residents
5. Preparing home-baked items and packed lunches
6. Laying and clearing tables, cleaning the kitchen and dining area
7. Operating the dishwasher and maintaining high hygiene standards
8. Receiving, checking and storing deliveries
9. Replenishing tea/coffee making stations for guests
10. Helping other teams where needed, including housekeeping, maintenance and grounds

Where you’ll be based
The Field Studies Council Millport centre is situated on the Isle of Cumbrae in Scotland. It has state of the art purpose-built conference facilities, twin bedroom ensuite accommodation with sea views, plus 7 teaching spaces comprising classrooms and laboratories.
We host learners of all ages and backgrounds from nursery schools, primary and secondary schools, universities, adults and research placements from all over the world.
