Come and work for the SBUHB Physiotherapy Service in beautiful Swansea Bay, with fabulous coastline, outdoor pursuits, and mountain walking all within easy travelling distance.
Joining our team you will be afforded fantastic opportunities for CPD, teaching and mentoring through senior staff educated to Masters level, or above. We have long established links with multiple South Wales Universities, for undergrad and post- grad Physio education, including the provision of student placements.
Recently we have had many staff secure HEIW funding for post graduate study. We have strong relationships with the School of Health Science, and School of Medicine at Swansea University, both in terms of accessing post-grad courses, supporting research projects, and providing teaching and education to medical students.
Main duties of the job
The post holder should have extensive knowledge and experience within field. The role requires highly developed clinical reasoning skills to diagnose and implement appropriate management plan. The post holder will require strong communication skills to support patients during challenging times. The ability to adapt and work in a busy pressurised or changeable environment is also paramount. The role may require the post holder to Work flexibly to meet the needs of the service, including a 7-day shift pattern, with extended working hours covering 365 days of the year.
The role will involve supporting the education and development of others using various methods. While also identifying and actively pursuing personal development needs.

Essential criteria
1. Physiotherapy degree or similar
2. HCPC registration
3. MSc or equivalent experience or actively working towards.
Knowledge

5. Theoretical and clinical knowledge of Ax and Rx relevant to specialist area.
6. Wide background of other physio specialities
