A prestigious and well-established law firm in Basingstoke, Hampshire is seeking an ambitious Commercial Litigation Solicitor (NQ-3 PQE) to join its expanding and highly respected dispute resolution team. Recognised by both Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners, the firm offers City-quality work delivered within a friendly, supportive, and collaborative environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior lawyer looking to build a strong and varied litigation career alongside highly experienced practitioners.
The Work
The team advises a wide-ranging client base and handles a broad mix of commercial and property-related disputes. Matters include:
* General Commercial Litigation:
o Breach of contract
o Professional negligence
o Shareholder and partnership disputes
o Unfair prejudice claims
o Breach of directors' duties
o Intellectual property disputes
o Fraud and asset recovery
o Insurance coverage issues
o Tax disputes
o Regulatory investigations
o Defamation, libel, and slander
* Property & Real Estate Litigation:
o Commercial landlord and tenant disputes, including lease renewals
o Covenant enforcement and related advice
o Rights of way, easements, and other adjoining landowner issues
o Housing development disputes
o Squatter eviction
o Adverse possession
o Boundary disputes
o Trespass and nuisance claims
You will gain exposure to a varied caseload and benefit from early responsibility, direct client contact, and involvement in high-quality work typically associated with larger City practices.
The Ideal Candidate
* Qualified Solicitor (NQ-3 PQE)
* Experience in commercial litigation (during training or post-qualification)
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail
* Confident communicator with strong client-handling ability
* Commercial mindset and pragmatic approach
* Team-focused, with the ability to work independently when needed
* Willingness to support business development and contribute to the team's growth
