Payroll Support Officer
. This is a fixed-term, on-site role based in Milton Keynes.
About the Role
We're partnering with a busy organisation to find a skilled Payroll Support Officer who will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for over 500 employees.
Working closely with the Payroll Manager, you'll help clear backlogs, manage day-to-day payroll activities, and support staff with payroll-related queries. This is a hands-on role where accuracy, efficiency, and discretion are essential.
Key Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
* Assist with the preparation and processing of payroll for approximately 537 staff.
* Support the Payroll Manager with daily payroll tasks and backlog clearance.
* Maintain accurate employee data and payroll records.
* Respond to payroll queries promptly and professionally.
* Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and company policies.
What We're Looking For:
* Previous payroll experience, ideally supporting 300+ employees.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Good knowledge of payroll systems (experience with [insert system if known] is a plus).
* Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* A team player with a proactive, can-do attitude.
