Location: Norwich, Norfolk Contract Type: Full-time Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience We are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Norwich. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting pupils with special educational needs and helping them access learning in a positive, structured, and nurturing environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the SENCo, class teachers, and other support staff to assist pupils with a wide range of learning needs. You will support pupils on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, helping them develop academic skills, social and emotional wellbeing, and confidence in their learning. Your role will include assisting with personalised learning programmes, implementing strategies to support pupils’ individual needs, and monitoring progress. You will also help prepare classroom resources, support interventions, and contribute to assessments where required. Ensuring pupils feel safe, valued, and included in all aspects of school life will be central to your work. Collaboration is key. You will work alongside colleagues to create a supportive, inclusive environment and will communicate regularly with staff, parents, and carers to ensure consistency and continuity of learning.
