How you'll make a difference
As a Mobile Cleaning operative, you'll play a vital role travelling to our corporate councils' buildings, ensuring they are a clean and safe environment for pupils and staff to learn and work in. You will make a difference by carrying out duties to the specifications and levels required to maintain good hygiene across all sites. You will be expected to travel throughout the area, so a full valid driving licence and access to a vehicle are required, or alternative means of travel.
The main base will be Badminton Road, Yate, but this may change to other sites across South Gloucestershire depending on operational needs (e.g., Kingswood, Patchway).
What will you be doing?
* Under supervision, responsible for cleaning at the site, following schedules and quality standards, individually or as part of a team.
* Use materials and equipment safely, including washing surfaces, cleaning toilets, vacuuming, mopping, and using floor polish machines.
* Move cleaning equipment and materials, requiring bending, crouching, and lifting.
* Travel between various sites to cover for absences.
What you need to know
* Business insurance must be added to your personal car policy.
* Mileage can be claimed at 45p per mile.
* Shift patterns vary, including mornings or evenings.
* Uniform and equipment are provided.
* Shifts are year-round; salaries are pro-rated to hours worked.
Current vacancies:
* Cadbury Heath (Sure Start): 5 hrs/week
* Patchway: 10 hrs/week
What we need from you
* Follow processes for the safe storage and use of cleaning chemicals.
* Good organizational skills to follow instructions and complete tasks to standard.
* Good communication and problem-solving skills.
* Full clean driving licence is essential.
