RNID Near You Co-ordinator - Lothians
Remote working, Lothians. 35 hours per week. Initially fixed-term contract until 31 March 2027.
Lead the continued successful development and delivery of the RNID Near You Community Service across the NHS Lothian area, supporting local communities through drop-in sessions offering:
* Practical hearing aid support
* Information on hearing loss and tinnitus
Responsibilities
* Coordinate around 20 drop-in services and recruit, train and manage a team of up to 40 volunteers to deliver the service across the area.
* Set up and run clinics, using good local knowledge to seek new opportunities for delivery of RNID Near You services.
* Work from home with some travel to venues where drop-in clinics are held in community settings.
* Interact with volunteers, health & care professionals and service users; manage events and your own workload; work evenings/weekends if required.
* Physically assist clients with hearing aids in a sensitive and client-centered manner, respecting individual wishes and health needs.
* Utilise IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Qualifications and Requirements
* No essential qualifications required, but a good standard of written English and attention to detail is required.
* Good IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word.
* Ability to work home-based with willingness to travel for clinics and community events.

* Salary: £25,708 per annum plus excellent benefits
