Learning Support Assistant

Join a specialist education team supporting students with additional learning and communication needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Support teachers in delivering personalised learning activities and lessons
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with additional needs
* Assist students with communication, emotional regulation, and independence skills
* Support classroom learning, practical activities, and community:based learning
* Help students during educational visits, work experience placements, and life skills activities
* Encourage positive behaviour and wellbeing in line with school policies
* Assist with preparing learning materials and classroom resources
* Monitor and record student progress under teacher guidance
* Support students with personal care where required
* Supervise students during lessons, breaktimes, dining, and offsite activities
* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, care staff, and families
* Maintain a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment
* Attend training, meetings, and professional development sessions
* Assist with general administrative duties including photocopying and display preparation
* Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and behaviour support procedures at all times
