Are you looking to step into a school environment and build valuable classroom experience?
GSL Education are seeking a Cover Supervisor to support secondary schools across Nottingham (NG3), helping maintain continuity in learning during staff absences.
As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will guide pupils through pre-prepared lessons, maintain a positive atmosphere, and help keep the classroom on track throughout the day.
This role suits confident, adaptable individuals who can think on their feet. A successful Cover Supervisor remains calm under pressure, follows school routines, and ensures pupils stay engaged in their work.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver pre-set lesson plans across various subjects.
* Maintain a purposeful learning environment and manage behaviour effectively.
* Support pupils in staying focused and completing tasks.
* Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times.
* Provide brief feedback to teaching staff when required.
Requirements:
* A degree or relevant UK school-based experience.
* Strong communication and classroom management skills.
* Flexibility, reliability, and a proactive approach.
* An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A genuine interest in supporting young people in their education.
