Overview
We have a great opportunity to join Thames Water as an Operations Performance Manager, working across Witney and the surrounding area. You will assist with the daily operations of up to 15 Sewage Treatment Works and manage a small, multi-skilled team of up to 12 technicians.
With a focus on environmental impact, your role will involve driving improvements in site operations and asset management, aiming to benefit our customers and the environment.
You should be able to inspire and motivate your team, fostering a strong team environment and understanding individual team member needs.
The role is based at the Witney STW main site, with travel required to other sites. A driving license and car are essential. The role involves a 36-hour workweek, Monday to Friday, with participation in an out-of-hours rota for escalations, as we operate 24/7.
Responsibilities
* Health and Safety: Lead and promote a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance and best practices.
* Process Management: Ensure site compliance, plant availability, and reliability to meet regulatory quality targets.
* Performance Management: Drive team performance, development, and safety awareness.
* Financial Management: Manage budgets and drive operational efficiencies.
* Customer & Stakeholder Management: Provide excellent customer service and proactive stakeholder engagement.
Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience managing operational teams with strong leadership skills.
* Experience fostering a health & safety culture; IOSH or equivalent qualification preferred.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to analyze data using Microsoft Office tools.
