We are seeking an experienced South East Regional Manager to lead and grow a high-performing orthopaedic joint replacement business across London and the South East. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this senior commercial role combines strategic sales leadership, key account development, and people management within both the NHS and private healthcare sectors.
This is a high-impact opportunity for an accomplished orthopaedic sales leader with strong experience in arthroplasty, joint replacement products, and regional business management.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver regional sales performance across the London & South East territory
* Develop, implement, and execute a regional joint replacement business plan
* Manage and grow key customer relationships, including key opinion leaders (KOLs)
* Maintain in-depth knowledge of orthopaedic arthroplasty product portfolios
* Develop and expand strategic key accounts across NHS and private hospitals
* Provide local customer support, including training, case coverage, and clinical support
* Identify and develop new regional business opportunities
* Prepare and deliver commercially competitive proposals
* Support and coordinate relevant marketing and promotional activities
* Attend and represent the business at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events
* Support surgeon participation in UK and European training programmes
* Organise and attend regional and international surgeon training courses
* Review and manage pricing and discount structures
* Lead regional tender negotiations
* Present and track a monthly regional business plan
* Train, mentor, and develop sales colleagues
* Support recruitment and development of Sales and Clinical staff as required
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience and strong knowledge of orthopaedic and joint replacement products
* Track record in account management and new business development
* Experience working at all levels within the NHS and private healthcare sector, including procurement and senior hospital management
* Excellent organisational, communication, and presentation skills
* Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing abilities
* Ability to engage confidently with senior internal and external stakeholders
* Strategic, commercially focused approach to sales and business development
* Strong understanding of margins, profit & loss, and commercial performance
* Ability to work independently and manage a large geographic region
* Minimum 5 years' experience in orthopaedic medical device sales
* Prior people management or leadership experience preferred
* Degree-level education required; life sciences background advantageous
