Working closely with the Nursery Teacher and Early Years team, you will help to deliver high-quality provision in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), supporting children’s learning, development, and wellbeing as part of the wider school community.

Key Responsibilities:

5. Promote positive behaviour and support children’s social and emotional development.
6. Contribute to observations and assessments under the guidance of the Nursery Teacher.
7. Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute positively to school life.

We are on the lookout for a passionate and dynamic individual who is ready to make a real impact in our classrooms!

You should:

8. Have experience of working with young children, ideally within an Early Years or school setting.
9. Hold a relevant Early Years qualification (Level 3) or be willing to work towards one.
10. Have a good understanding of child development and the EYFS.
11. Be caring, patient, and enthusiastic, with a genuine interest in early childhood education.
12. Work well as part of a team and communicates effectively with adults and children.
13. Be committed to inclusion, safeguarding, and promoting children’s wellbeing.

This role is:

14. Part-time term-time
15. 8.15am - 3.45pm Monday to Friday
16. 33.75 hrs per week (30 hours are offered on a permanent contract, the extra 3.75 hours are attached to the Early Years setting and will be reduced should you move to another year group)
17. Salary is KSA (33.75hrs @ 43 paid weeks) will be approximately £18,990 pro rata

At The Stour Academy Trust, we value our staff and are committed to their professional growth. You will have access to continuous training linked to effective teaching practises and innovative technology use, enabling you to contribute meaningfully to our educational mission.

If you are ready to make a difference in the lives of our pupils, we would love to hear from you!
