Senior Civil Engineer (Contract) – Water Infrastructure | Reading | 6+ Months\n\nWe're partnering with a prestigious global consultancy that has recently secured a major contract in the water industry. Due to this exciting win, they're seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join their team in Reading on a minimum 6-month contract, with strong potential for extension.\n\nWe are primarily looking for expertise in wastewater infrastructure (pipelines), but candidates with clean water infrastructure experience will also be considered. This role is crucial to their intelligent client model, supporting ambitious capital investment plans.\n\nWhat You'll Do:\n\nWorking under the direction of a Principal Engineer, you'll provide essential civil engineering expertise to:\n\nOversee project development to meet needs with best-value solutions across the network.\n\nMitigate project risks to reduce programme and project delivery costs.\n\nProvide design sign-off between Asset Management and Capital Delivery departments.\n\nEnsure Technical Assurance for projects during Delivery, Commissioning, and Handover of Assets.\n\nEnsure compliance with scope requirements, asset standards, legislation, and design expectations, following delivery process models, including CDM Regulations, Health, Safety, and Welfare.\n\nWhat You'll Bring:\n\nDegree-level qualification in Civil Engineering.\n\nChartered Status or equivalent, and membership of a relevant professional institution.\n\nMinimum 10 years of post-graduate experience in Civil Engineering.\n\nAt least 3 years of experience in the water industry, specifically on relevant infrastructure projects.\n\nDemonstrable ability to operate at a senior level.\n\nExtensive leadership experience, including managing teams of 10 or more in comparable settings.\n\nProven track record of providing thought leadership and strategic oversight, ensuring technical and delivery excellence.\n\nEmpowerment to review and sign off team outputs before client submission.\n\nFor more information, please contact Stephen Tiigah – (url removed)
