Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We’re looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join our dynamic Joint Venture (JV) partnership between Kier and Bam Nuttall. Together, we are delivering an exciting redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site located in Plymouth.
Location & Working Conditions
Location: Royal Dockyard, Plymouth
Remote Working: Available
Hours: 42.5 hours per week (with some flexibility available)
Please note: We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship for this role. Due to the high-security nature of the site, additional security checks will be required. Candidates must hold EU, NATO, 5 Eyes, or MISWG member passports and have been UK residents for the last 5 years. BPSS level security clearance is necessary, which may take up to 8 weeks to process.
Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will lead the Infrastructure Project Quality Engineering Team, focusing on all sub-programme and main works packages within the Infrastructure development programme. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* Managing a team of Quality Assurance Engineers across the KBJV 10 dock delivery programme, ensuring 24-hour project engineering cover.
* Supporting the development of the project engineering team to ensure the right skills and resources are in place.
* Preparing, reviewing, and coordinating technical data with Project Teams, Pre-construction teams, and Engineering to minimize project impact.
* Collaborating with the Delivery Management Team (DMT) to assess project impact before and during construction.
* Driving a health and safety culture on-site at all times.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if:
* You hold a Civil Engineering qualification or have relevant experience and are a member of a technical institution or working towards membership.
* You possess expert knowledge of FRC construction techniques, including soils, subbase, piling, sub-structure, and superstructure.
* You have experience working on major projects, including nuclear environments, and hold a CSCS Card.
