GSL Education are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to support a thriving school in Swinton. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with young people and are looking to gain classroom experience in a school setting. As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will be responsible for delivering pre-set work to classes in the absence of a teacher, managing classroom behaviour, and ensuring students remain engaged and on task. As a Cover Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include: Delivering pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the regular class teacher. Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies. Providing a safe and productive learning environment for all students. Ensuring all learning objectives are met during cover lessons. Offering general support to teaching staff and departments where required. To be successful as a Cover Supervisor, you must: Have prior experience working with young people, ideally within a school environment. Demonstrate strong communication and behaviour management skills. Be adaptable, reliable, and confident in leading a classroom. Be committed to safeguarding and child protection.
