PMO or Project Controls Lead – Transport, Infrastructure, Aviation, Energy, Defence
CPC is an independent project and cost management consultancy, providing the best technical expertise in delivering infrastructure, property and transformational change projects.
Our people are dedicated to meeting our clients’ needs, unified by a core set of values and behaviours that bring the right knowledge, experience and approach to unlocking every project’s full potential.
This is a great opportunity to join CPC’s expanding PMO division, working with a variety of clients across sectors. We aren’t just looking for a specialist, we are looking for someone who can operate as a Principal Consultant to grow the service offering, build high-performing teams and drive technical excellence.
While we have a strong footprint in growing sectors of Rail, Aviation, and Utilities, we believe world-class Project Controls shouldn't be constrained to a sector. If you have the expertise to manage high-complexity programmes, we want your skills, regardless of whether they were forged in infrastructure, pharmaceuticals, or tech.
The Mission
As a senior leader within the division, you will bridge the gap between high-level strategy and enabling delivery precision. Your role is to advise and implement solutions to turn data into decisions in the world of complex programme delivery.
* Lead & Build: Take ownership of project controls delivery across medium to high-complexity programmes.
* Technical Authority: Ensure the integrity of all planning, risk, and cost inputs while implementing Business Intelligence to drive informed decision-making
* Stakeholder Influence: Drive organisational change and mentor teams through effective, high-impact communication.
* Sector Agnostic Innovation: Apply your knowledge of digital tooling, forecasting, AI insights, systems approaches and project controls methodologies to create industry leading solutions
What You Bring
We are looking for a dynamic leader who can deal with complexity and believes in enabling teams to deliver solutions.
* Experience: A proven track record on high-profile projects, ideally utilizing Primavera P6 and robust risk management methodologies.
* Versatility: A desire to work across different sectors, bringing fresh perspectives to our clients in Transport and Infrastructure.
* Digital curiosity: Technically savvy, keeping an eye on external developments, and can lead in the application of new technologies
* Credentials: Degree-qualified (or equivalent) with the technical knowledge to advise at a senior level.
