Your direct reports will include the Technical Manager, QA Manager, and a team of 6 QAs.You will be tasked with maintaining high standards of GMP, food safety, and integrity.Responsibilities Include:Supporting the Technical Director in developing overall technical strategy, policies, and plansManaging the company's quality management system to ensure compliance with standards and HACCP proceduresRepresenting the business on technical matters as requiredCoordinating all quality assessments and laboratory activitiesEnsuring inbound and outbound goods and packaging meet specificationsLeading customer and industry-specific audits at each siteManaging the internal audit programLeading the site HACCP programManaging non-conformance investigations and resolutionsOverseeing GMP auditing systemsProviding leadership to the technical team and ensuring personal objectives are metFostering team engagement, training, and developmentCollaborating with Operational, Marketing, HR, Finance, Sales, and Production teams to ensure smooth operationsMotivating the team, building capability and morale, conducting staff reviews, and supporting team developmentThe Applicant:A passionate foodie seeking a rewarding career in a growing family businessDegree in food science, technology, or processingExperience in team development and empowermentSolid technical/QA background within food manufacturingFood Safety and HACCP Level 3 qualificationExperience with digital audit and technical systems (preferred)Knowledge of raw material and packaging specificationsUnderstanding of retailer codes of practice and BRC Global Standard for Food SafetyProject management and change leadership experienceBENEFITS10% Bonus5% PensionPrivate Medical Care33 Days HolidayLife Assurance (3x salary)Free Food products
