You will provide strategic partnership to senior leaders while ensuring high-quality,pliant andpassionate HR delivery that supports both staff and students.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership
1. Lead and deliver the Trust’s People Strategy, aligned to long-term organisational goals and school improvement priorities.
2. Advise senior leaders and the Trust Board on workforce planning, organisational design, culture and leadership development.
3. Drive retention, succession planning and staff engagement using data-driven insights.
4. Support organisational change, trust growth and due diligence processes.
HR Operations &pliance
5. Oversee HR policies, safer recruitment, SCRpliance, safeguarding standards and employment law.
6. Lead recruitment, onboarding, contracts, ER casework, absence, performance and professional development.
7. Ensure consistent application of STPCD, Burgundy Book and Green Book terms and conditions.
Payroll & Employee Relations
8. Manage the monthly payroll process with accuracy and confidentiality.
9. Provide expert guidance on disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence and restructuring matters.
10. Lead proactive wellbeing and attendance management strategies.
HR Systems, Reporting & EDI
11. Own HRIS development and data integrity.
12. Produce workforce KPIs for leadership andernance.
13. Champion equality, diversity and inclusion.
Training, Development & Leadership
14. Coordinate professional development and appraisal processes.
15. Line manage the HR Assistant and model Trust values.
Essential Experience & Qualifications
16. Experience as a Head of HR or HR Manager within a school, academy or Trust (non-negotiable).
17. Strong knowledge of STPCD, Burgundy Book and Green Book terms and conditions.
18. Up-to-date safeguarding training and current employment law knowledge.
19. CIPD Level 7 qualification (or working towards).
20. Strategic HR experience, advising Boards and senior leaders on workforce planning and organisational development.
