This role offers a unique opportunity to support the Children and Young People’s service, assisting the Director of Children Services in delivering change to ensure all children and young people in Suffolk thrive.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Daily tasks include:
1. Maintaining electronic diaries for the Director of Children Services and Cabinet Members.
2. Managing meeting coordination, including agendas, minutes, action logs, and governance through DCS-chaired meetings.
3. Handling complex enquiries on behalf of the DCS and Cabinet members, redirecting as needed.
4. Managing the DCS mailbox to ensure emails are actioned and tracked.
5. Collaborating with the Executive Assistant Hub to provide systematic support to the DCS Office, sharing information with the Personal Assistant Hub.
You Will Need
* Exceptional organisational skills to manage competing demands proactively.
* Strong planning skills to anticipate future tasks and balance reactive duties.
* Ability to work independently, prioritise, and manage conflicting deadlines in a pressurised environment.
* Understanding and monitoring risks at corporate, programme, or project levels.
* Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
* Flexibility and teamwork skills to meet post and team demands.
