Senior Management Accountant Harrogate | Hybrid Working (3 days office / 2 home) | £47,500 This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and well-established organisation in a Senior Management Accountant role offering both technical ownership and team leadership. Working within a central finance function, you’ll take responsibility for delivering accurate and timely management accounts while supporting operational stakeholders and driving continuous improvement across reporting processes. The Opportunity You’ll join a collaborative finance team responsible for supporting multiple operational areas and external stakeholders. This role sits at the heart of the reporting function, with responsibility for delivering monthly management accounts, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring strong financial controls are maintained. You’ll also play a key role in managing and developing a small team, ensuring deadlines are met and standards remain high. Why this role stands out You’ll have the opportunity to: Take ownership of monthly management accounts and reporting cycles Work closely with operational teams to deliver meaningful financial insight Support budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting processes Contribute to process improvements and reporting efficiencies Lead and develop a small finance team Be part of a business that values continuous improvement What you’ll get involved in Your responsibilities will include: Preparing and delivering monthly management accounts within deadlines Producing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules Providing variance analysis and commentary to stakeholders Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes Assisting with audit requirements and statutory reporting Responding to stakeholder queries and providing financial insight Maintaining strong financial controls and adherence to processes Reviewing and improving reporting processes and efficiencies Managing and developing a small team within finance Supporting ad hoc analysis and reporting requirements Who this is for You’ll likely be someone who: Is a part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or QBE Has strong experience producing management accounts Has experience managing or mentoring team members Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills Is confident working with large data sets and Excel Communicates effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders Is organised and able to manage multiple priorities Experience within a multi-entity or operational environment would be beneficial.
