We are looking for a Deputy Manager to join us at our new home based in Salisbury, Wiltshire. Our new service supports young people aged 16 and offers a welcoming home for up to four young people within a supported accommodation. As Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Registered Manager with the day to day running of the home and the continued development of a dedicated team of Senior Residential Support Workers. You’ll help guide and mentor colleagues as they support young people who may have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences or trauma, using our embedded trauma informed practices. Our young people may have had many adults move in and out of their lives, so we are seeking a Deputy Manager who is committed, dependable, empathetic, and skilled at building positive and trusting relationships. You’ll be someone who understands the importance of consistency and connection. Requirements You will need: • At least two years’ leadership experience in a Children’s Residential Setting. • A Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare. • A willingness to work towards your Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification if not already achieved. • A strong understanding of Ofsted requirements, the legislative framework, and SCCIF. • A full UK Driving Licence due to the location of the home. Hours • Average of 39 hours per week. • Day shifts typically fall between 8am – 10pm. • A flexible shift pattern of 39 hours including sleep ins, tailored to meet service needs. • The aim is for up to 50% of your hours to be ‘off rota’, enabling you to support the effective running of the home, complete paperwork, and deliver supervision and coaching. • After your settling in period, you will undertake two sleep ins per week, each paid at £50. • During your training period, you will work Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, with some travel expected. • Usual rota pattern: two on, four off, depending on home requirements.
