Media Futures Market is a high-growth, independent media agency and marketplace. This is a pivotal role in shaping the UK expansion of Media Futures Market. You will lead media planning and buying across a small roster of creative and content agency partners, each with a group of clients that will need media expertise. You will work with our agency partners and direct with clients, ensuring strategies are commercially sound, strategically valuable, and focused on real impact. This role is perfect for someone who is looking to step up and take ownership, not just of client strategy, but also of how the business itself grows in the UK. You’ll be hands-on in shaping processes, developing client relationships, and helping to build a best-in-class team. Occasional international travel may be required, to the US, Middle East and/or continental Europe.

Responsibilities

1. Lead media planning and buying across multiple clients, ensuring investment decisions are rooted in effectiveness.

2. Own client relationships at a senior level, acting as a trusted advisor on media strategy, investment, and performance.

3. Develop tailored media strategies, leveraging high quality media selection to amplify great ideas, and maximise effectiveness.

4. Negotiate with media owners and platforms, ensuring transparency, efficiency, and the best commercial outcomes for clients.

5. Manage campaign execution across digital and offline channels, ensuring activity is live on time, and delivering in line with expectations.

6. Oversee data and analytics to establish measurement frameworks that go beyond platform-driven metrics.

Qualifications

1. 6+ years' experience in media planning and buying, with a strong focus on both performance and brand-driven strategies. Experience in a start-up or scale-up environment is a plus.

2. A solid understanding of media effectiveness, and the role of media in the overall marketing organisation.

3. Experience across digital, TV, (D)OOH, audio and emerging channels, with a clear grasp of how different media types work separately and together.

4. Strong negotiation skills with media owners and platforms, ensuring transparency and value-driven investment.

5. Excellent communication skills. Comfortable presenting and pitching ideas in a team, or solo. Able to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights, focusing on helping clients make better media decisions.

6. Self starter mindset. Within a fast growing business, you will need to own and direct your own efforts and initiatives, and will be encouraged to act decisively.

Package and benefits

- Hybrid/Flexible Working. We work in London, value time together during the week, and flex to suit client needs. But also recognise the need to flex around real life and personal productivity preferences. Also open to 4 day working week or 9 day fortnight for this role.

- £70k base plus bonus

- Generous stock appreciation rights - vesting after 1 full year, backdated to start date
