We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as Payroll Assistant at our vibrant Discovery Park office. About the role
* Conduct payroll processing work on an allocated portfolio of clients; extend this to any client during times of peak demand
* Read and process client payroll data, satisfy client data requests, and review client data for completeness
* Escalate more complex payroll areas and queries that require Senior or above involvement
* Communicate regularly and promptly with Payroll Assistant Manager/line manager regarding progress and workload
* Conduct pension enrollments and re-enrollment compliance
* Manage payroll impact logs
* Complete BACS entries
* Process HMRC information
* Check budgets and timelines for jobs to understand the framework being worked to
* Monitor work progress and ensure appropriate communication with clients and internal stakeholders; send completed work for review by Senior or above
* Contribute to timely and accurate billing and WIP reviews
* Perform self-assessment reviews for each payroll job upon completion
* Act as a key contact for nominated clients to obtain data and manage payroll requirements
* Update client lists regularly
* Respond to phone calls and written correspondence within deadlines and keep promises
