We are The Fractional HR Department; a HR Consultancy for SMEs and we’re looking for a HR Adviser who can bring both empathy and legal clarity to employee relations cases across our diverse client base. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and a role where no two days are the same. You’ll support our HR Coordinators and HR Business Partners with everything from ER casework to recruitment, payroll, and policy development. What You’ll Be Doing Leading and advising on ER cases (disciplinary, grievance, probation, etc.) with a good working knowledge of employment law and ACAS statutory codes Providing clear, legally sound guidance to clients and colleagues Supporting recruitment campaigns and benchmarking terms and conditions Assisting with payroll preparation and HR system updates Drafting and maintaining policies, templates, and SOPs Creating engaging content for social media and client communications Delivering prepared training sessions to clients Supporting the implementation of new processes and systems What We’re Looking For Solid understanding of UK employment law and its practical application in ER casework Experience managing or supporting ER cases independently Clear and confident written communication skills CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) or equivalent experience Familiarity with HRIS platforms (e.g. PeopleHR, BreatheHR, HiBob, SenseHR etc) Ability to manage multiple tasks at once and work to project schedules and scopes.
