IT Network & Telecommunications Administrator
Salary: £36,000 - £48,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5.30pm (40 hour week)
Location: Southampton office based

Purpose of the Role
Responsible for managing technology efficiently through tools and scripting. Organizes, leads, and coordinates with other IT parts to ensure system components are managed effectively.
* Designs and develops complex, integrated solutions to meet business requirements or improve Garmin’s network and telecommunications systems
* Performs cost analyses and vendor comparisons for projects to ensure cost-effective operations. Recommends approaches based on feasibility and analysis
* Continuously develops expertise on current and emerging network & telecommunications technologies
* Communicates effectively about system operations and changes
* Adheres to SOX, PCI, and other regulatory standards
* Monitors capacity, redundancy, and health of network & telecommunications systems
* Ensures security requirements are met or exceeded
* Uses standards and procedures proficiently
* Communicates effectively in large team or departmental settings
* Aligns with Garmin’s Mission Statement and Quality Policy, showing enthusiasm for Garmin's success
* Mentors less experienced IT Administrators
* Provides reliable solutions using sound problem-solving techniques, including root cause analysis
* Performs minor system upgrades
* Uses tools and scripting for efficient management
* Makes component improvement recommendations
* Identifies system interdependencies
* Coordinates cross-team changes
* Participates in system or application roadmap planning
* Leads meetings with IT system users
* Adapts well to change and welcomes feedback
* Monitors appropriate security access levels
Education & Experience
* Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS, Business, or related field, or 2 years relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience
* Ability to solve moderately complex technical problems independently
* Experience in successful technology solution implementation
* Strong communication skills in small team settings
* Effective work documentation and organization
* Deep understanding of IT Infrastructure, including Telephony: Avaya, SIP, Microsoft Teams Voice
