We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established car garage in Darlington that’s looking for a skilled and reliable Vehicle Mechanic to join their busy workshop. You will be reporting directly to the Service Manager, with the opportunity to grow and develop your skills in a supportive environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and being part of a friendly, professional team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform vehicle servicing, repairs, and maintenance to a high standard
2. Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently and accurately
3. Maintain accurate records of work completed
4. Work as part of a friendly and professional team
5. Ensure the workshop is clean, safe, and organised
Essential Requirements:
6. NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 or above in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
7. Minimum 3 years’ experience in vehicle servicing and repairs
8. Full UK driving licence
9. Own tools
10. Good written and verbal English
11. Competent with computers
12. Team player with a positive attitude
Desirable / Advantageous Skills:
13. MOT Tester qualification
14. EV (Electric Vehicle) training
15. Diagnostics training
Additional Information:
16. Starting salary from £30,000 + Bonus
17. 22 days holiday + Bank Holidays
