Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Salary: £90 - £110 per day
Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 8:30am – 3:45pm
Start date: Monday 13th October 2025
Core Education is currently working with a lovely primary school based in the Runcorn area who have requirements for a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 pupil who has Autism providing 1:1 support.
SEN Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:
* Create an inclusive learning environment
* Facilitate communication between students, teachers and parents
* Motivate and engage students
* Provide 1:1 support to a year 3 student with Autism
* Support the teacher to plan innovative and engaging lessons which will meet the needs of the child
* Work with the childs EHCP plans supporting their learning
* Promote learning and personal development of the student, adapting learning activities to meet their needs
SEN Teaching Assistant Experience:
* Excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum
* Experience working with students with additional needs such as, ASD
* Be able to demonstrate recent classroom experience and strong behaviour management skills
* Be committed to supporting the children where necessary
* Have previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or relevant experience of working with children
* Working within a SEN school or Primary school setting and be confident in using their initiative
* Qualification within Education is desirable
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will need an Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
