Title: TRAINEE QUANTITY SURVEYOR OVERVIEW The Programme and Project Partners (PPP) model was mobilised in 2019 with the purpose of transforming major project delivery at the Sellafield nuclear site. The partnership brings together KBR, Jacobs, Morgan Sindall Infrastructure, Altrad Babcock and Sellafield Ltd to deliver a 20-year pipeline of major infrastructure projects to support the decommissioning of Sellafield and to create a clean and safe environment for future generations. TRAINEE / ASSISTANT QUANTITY SURVEYOR JOB ROLE Responsibilities: - Basic subcontract management duties. - Delivery of commercial actions with support from the senior commercial team. - Communication and collaboration with other members of the commercial team, supply chain and framework partners. - Management of commercial documentation. - Provide support to the operational function. - Provide support to commercial administration and reporting. - Support in the delivery of project deliverables. - Supporting the interim payment process and final accounting. - Engagement with project stakeholders on commercial matters. - Reporting to a senior member of the commercial team to provide commercial assistance to the day-to-day aspects for contract administration. Skills and experience: - Some previous experience in Quantity Surveying - Experience of the self-delivery of basic commercial duties. - Awareness of administrating construction contracts. - Experience of working as part of a team. - Knowledge and experience of MS Office. - Good time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work. - Capable of obtaining (or currently holds) UK Nuclear industry clearance. - High level of integrity and awareness of the management of sensitive information - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Strong interpersonal skills Due to the nature of our work and security requirements, KBR does not offer sponsorship.
