The role
Our client is a well-established and successful manufacturer, they are looking for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to maintain and repair their manufacturing machinery. They are looking for someone with experience in both Mechanical and Electrical maintenance. Shift Pattern: (Days and Nights, 12 hour shifts) 2 days, 3 nights, 4 off, 3 days, 2 nights, 5 off, 2 days, 2 nights, 5 off (then back to the start) Salary: £46,548 including shift allowance (£43,246 basic £3,301 shift allowance) Location: Swadlincote PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU MEET MOST OF THE FOLLOWING IDEAL REQUIREMENTS: * One of the following qualifications; NVQ Level 3 in Engineering / ONC / HNC / HND * A time served Multi-skilled Engineer with strong mechanical knowledge * Process the ability to work with pneumatic controls and read electrical and pneumatic schematic drawings * Experience of working in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment (e.g. building / construction products) * Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Welding (MIG / Arc) * Fabrication, proven workshop and spanner skills * Experience with conveyors, drives, etc. * Robotics Advantageous * Basic electrical fault finding * LOTOTO trained * MMS knowledge (Agility) Multi Skilled Engineer Responsibilities: * To undertake electrical and mechanical engineering activities and assist in planned and unplanned work. * Implement and adhere to safe working practices in accordance with legislation * To advise and assist the Production Team to ensure that all products are made to the highest possible yield and product quality standards * To ensure that the efficiency of the process is maintained at all times * To participate in all training programs including the training of others * Drive continuous improvement across site * Be involved with project work as and when required * Accompany contractors to facilitate work This role would suit someone from a similar previous job title, such as; Maintenance Electrician / Electrical Engineer / Maintenance Technician / Maintenance Electrician / Mechanical Fitter / M&E Maintenance Engineer / Shift Engineer / Dual Skilled Maintenance Engineer / Engineering Technician / Electrical Engineer / Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer / Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician / Maintenance Electrician / Electrical Technician / Shift Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical Fitter / M&E Maintenance Engineering roles / etc
