Plant Nursery Seeder /Propagator With green houses in near Frampton and Kirton, we have your next position as a Seed Planter within a thriving nursery. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who loves plants, works with care and precision, and takes pride in growing healthy stock from the very beginning. They grow bedding plants and veg like tomatoes from seed and present them nicely in little trays for sale to retail. The job of seeder is to operate the seed machine. The seed machine would need setting for the size of the trays as well as the size of the seed. You would be taking orders from the system. Setting up the seed machine and seeding the trays on the conveyor and opertaing the seeding machine. Moving the planted trays to racks for watering and moving in to warm sunny enviroments. * Propagation of plants from seeds * Preparing growing media, trays, compost and pots etc * Taking orders off the computer * Operating the seeding machines * Printing labels * Monitoring young plants for health, growth, and disease * Watering, feeding, and maintaining propagation areas * Keeping work areas clean, organised, and well maintained * Supporting the wider nursery team as required About You * Experience in plant seeding or horticulture is desirable but not essential * Plant knowledge and attention to detail * Patient, reliable, and able to work independently * Comfortable wit...
