Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Door Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining a variety of industrial door systems. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with clients and other team members to ensure that projects are completed to the highest standards.
Duties
* Installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial doors, steel doors, high-speed doors, roller shutters, and sectional doors
* Occasionally working on loading bays, dock levelers, dock shelters, buffers, wheel guides, traffic light systems, and sectional doors
* Performing basic electrical wiring tasks
* Troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and electronic equipment
* Working on a call out rota
Skills
* Strong knowledge of engineering principles related to mechanical systems.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
* Familiarity with safety regulations related to industrial installations is advantageous.
* Previous experience in a similar role or industry is desirable but not essential.
CSCS, IPAF desirable but not essential
A valid UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
Door-to-door pay
Overtime pay at 1.5 and 2.0 rates, with travel paid at overtime rates
