The Role The successful candidate will deliver engaging and inspiring Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience. Key responsibilities include: Planning and delivering high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum and examination specifications. Teaching a broad range of artistic techniques and media, encouraging experimentation and creativity. Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on student progress and achievement. Supporting students with GCSE and/or A-Level coursework and exhibitions. Contributing to curriculum planning, resource management, and departmental initiatives. Supporting extracurricular activities such as clubs, trips, and exhibitions to enhance student engagement. Candidate Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong subject knowledge in Art & Design. Practical expertise in a variety of media and artistic techniques. Excellent classroom management and organisational skills. Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities. Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
