Jackson Hogg are pleased to be working exclusively with an exciting process engineering organisation in the search for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician.
Role Description
The Mechanical Technician is responsible for machine installations, maintenance repairs and planned/preventative maintenance in accordance with safety regulations and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:
* Support new equipment installations and commissioning.
* Contribute to long-term maintenance planning, risk assessments, and technical documentation.
* Manage the operation and maintenance of mechanical systems including but not limited to conveyors, pumps, compressors, water systems, boilers as well as piping systems.
* Undertake planned maintenance work in accordance with the maintenance schedule.
* Carry out preventative maintenance activities to prolong asset operability such as Vibration analysis, thermography and oil sampling.
* Respond to onsite equipment breakdowns, fault find, suggest and implement improvements.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Experience:
* Relevant experience as a time-served Mechanical Technician with level 3 Diploma
* Experienced with various rotating equipment.
* Knowledge with fabrication experience is desirable but not essential
* Experience with complying with Safe Systems of Work (PTW, LOTO, MOC etc)
* Experience of making and breaking flanged joints.
* Accredited training in the use of laser alignment and belt tensioning equipment desirable but not essential.
* Accredited training in basic lifting and slinging desirable but not essential.
* FLT licence desirable but not essential.
Salary – Up to £45,000 inclusive of shift allowance
Contract – permanent
