Job Summary
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Therapeutic Radiographers to join our friendly and dynamic team at the Nottingham Radiotherapy Centre. The primary role is to act as a team manager on a treatment machine, overseeing staff and managing clinical workload while supporting departmental development and clinical quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Co‑ordinate the clinical workload of the treatment unit.
* Contribute to the maintenance of the ISO 9000 quality system for the department.
* Lead in clinical research, audit and the development of techniques and equipment.
* Ensure high technical standards and patient care standards are maintained during simulation and treatment.
* Be proactive in the evaluation and implementation of new equipment and treatment techniques.
* Work closely with Principal Radiographers, doctors, physicists and other team members as appropriate.
* Participate in the staff training and education programme, including training junior medical staff.
* Lead in the training of student radiographers and trainee assistant practitioners.
Qualifications & Experience
You must be an HCPC registered therapeutic radiographer with experience managing workload and staff on a linear accelerator, excellent communication and leadership skills, and clinical knowledge of current developments in radiotherapy.
