Senior Legal Counsel – Automotive Sector

Role Overview:
Morgan Philips Specialist Recruitment are presently representing a business at the forefront of technology and engineering for the motorsport space in their search for a Senior Legal Counsel.
The successful candidate will be responsible for all legal and compliance matters arising across the business. This includes providing advice on contracts, ensuring compliance with regulations, government guidelines and legislation and liaison with the wider legal team of our client’s parent company and other external parties.
Key Accountabilities:
* Provide legal advice on a range of matters to leadership teams and business partners across all units of the company
* Drafting and leading of negotiations on a broad range of complex commercial/purchasing agreements and contracts
* Advising in other areas such as regulatory law, governance and compliance
* Managing the business’ relationship with external counsel including engagement scoping, billing and relationship development
Qualifications You’ll Need:
* An England & Wales qualified solicitor
* Minimum of 4 years PQE gained either from an in-house or practice environment
* Previous in-house (or practice) experience in sports, particularly in Motorsport or advanced engineering would be a significant advantage
* Resilience, calm when working under pressure
* Ability to work autonomously
* A proven team player
* A strong work-ethic and willingness to go “above and beyond”
* Excellent attention to detail
