Job Title: English/Maths Lecturer
Job Type: Fixed Term Contract

Key responsibilities :
1. Teaching Entry Level English / Maths to the Special Educational Needs students.
2. Planning, creating, and teaching engaging sessions based around the child's needs, developing their knowledge in core subjects.
3. Working with children with Special Education Needs who need face to face support. This could include children with ASD, SEMH or PMLD and may take place at their homes, care homes or a local area e.g., library which can be agreed with the parents/ carers.
4. Track progress and plan next steps.
5. Inspire children to achieve and keep them engaged ensuring they can access the learning.
6. Implement behaviour strategies to ensure children are focused and on task.
Skills & experience
7. Experience working with students with complex needs in an educational setting.
8. Strong communication and teamwork skills
9. Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping children succeed.
10. Knowledge of special education practices and strategies
11. A commitment to continuous professional development
